Why A Licensed Surveyor?

Why do I need a Licensed Surveyor?

Under the law, a Licensed Surveyor who holds a current Practicing Certificate is the only person allowed to provide an authorised survey to establish the dimensions of your property.

The Surveyor will define your boundaries and, by law, must provide a signed certificate which testifies that the work has been correctly completed. You will then have a document that has legal status, should there be a boundary dispute in the future.

A list of the current Licensed Land Surveyors can be found at the Land Surveyors Licensing Board of Western Australia website where you can see whether the Surveyor has a current Practicing Certificate, and if so, when it is valid to.
